New Maccabeats Chanukah Song/Video: Burn - Classic Maccabeats Videos also Included

The video above is the newest Maccabeats Chanukah video to raise funds for the Miracle Match bone marrow donation organization. Love those "Greek" guys' cameos every year. They even give a hat tip to the fact that Thanksgiving falls on Chanukah this year (eye roll). ;-) And l'hashlamas hainyan, enjoy two other classic Maccabeats Chanukah videos below (wish I could show you our video of our son spontaneously singing Candlelight at his sister's bas mitzva when he was about 5 - sooo cute):

Maccabeats New Chanukah Video - Miracle

I'm sure most of you have seen this but here is the Maccabeats' new Chanukah video, which is a cover of Matisyahu's Chanukah song from last year. Ah freilichen Chanukah!

Incidentally, I wouldn't get exercized about Mayim Bialik wearing a yarmulka. She's Allison Jacbos' Partners in Torah chevrusa. I'm sure it's meant to be funny.

Video, Music, Picture, & Text Log of Uman Rosh Hashana 5771

See the video above which is made up of video and pictures from my Uman trip. I made it as a kind of video journal for myself of the trip and for those of you who may enjoy it.

For all of those who e-mailed me or left comments with names and things to daven for, B"H, was was zoche to daven for virtually everyone at all of the kevarim both on the way to Uman and in Uman. IY"H, all of our tefilos will be answered in the affirmative!

Below is a basic itinerary of the trip so I'll hopefully be able to remember it! Below are some of the better pictures, most of which are also included in the video as well.

The whole trip was somewhat overwhelming. It was good but it will take some time to process. I was zoche to meet Reb Micha Golshevsky in person Baruch Hashem during the trip as well!

Enjoy!

Beautiful Shabbos Niggunim in Baltimore Led By Rav Goldberger

Rav Goldberger here leads a Shabbos "rally" in Baltimore with some beautiful niggunim. As always, he has an amazing voice and they sing a number of beautiful niggunim, including the famous "Baltimore" niggun that Rav Goldberger himself composed, at the end. Enjoy.

Dad, I Became a Frummie, But That Doesn't Mean You Should be Angry! - Video

Adi Ran is crazy and I love this song. It is hilarious. In modern Hebrew, "dos" is a pejorative term for a religious Jew so this song is a very funny attempt to tell his parents and grandparents not be be angry with him for becoming religious. There are some really funny lines in there. He is a real character.

The funniest line is "!סבתא - נהייתי דוס, תוציא את השיניים מהכוס"

The person who put this video on Youtube put the lyrics so I'll post them below.

No Matter Who or What I am, I am a Jew - Music Video

My wife really likes this video. And since I just saw it now on Raisin' Soul, I realized that I hadn't shared it before. Enjoy!

Possible Kol Isha note: At one point, there is a large group of people singing, including some women. If you don't rely on "trei kalei lo mishtamei," you might not want to watch the video, or at least you might want to be ready to turn the sound down at that point. Kol tuv.

Aish Kodesh Lag BaOmer Music With Eitan Katz, Nochi Krohn, & Rav Moshe Weinberger

Somehow, Rabbeinu Raisin' Soul got a'hold of the audio of the musical portion of the Lag B'Omer Hillula for Rabi Shimon Bar Yochai at Aish Kodesh this past Motzoi Shabbos (which was awesome!). Eitan Katz, Nochi Krohn, and Avi Feinberg made the music and Rav Weinberger gave the Torah. Enjoy!

Take a listen.

Rav Moshe Weinberger Speaking at Melaveh Malka in L.A. - Video

Rav Moshe Weinberger March 6, 2010 .

There is music at the beginning and then Rebbe starts speaking at about the 18 minute mark. In order to skip to the part where Rav Weinberger speaks, hit "play," then "pause." Wait for the download bar to reach past about the 1/4 mark and then you can move the video to the 18 minute mark. Hit play again to start the video again from that point.

Rav Weinberger really touches on so many fundamentals of Yiddishkeit today. A must watch/listen!
